Client Executive/Broker – Professional Indemnity

Overview

In this role, you will manage a Professional Indemnity book within Marsh’s FINPRO team in Manchester, combining client leadership with collaboration across Corporate colleagues. You’ll influence renewal and placement strategies, negotiate with insurers, and tailor risk solutions to clients’ business priorities. The position offers growth within a global broker, with opportunities to develop your technical expertise and leadership skills. You will work in a hybrid setup, engaging with a busy client book across Design & Construction, Professions and related risks, while supporting cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage a PI client book and collaborate with Corporate colleagues on broader relationships and other lines
• Deliver renewal and placement strategies in coordination with the team
• Negotiate PI renewals with Marsh facilities and open market insurers
• Understand client business priorities and risk management needs to provide tailored advice
• Advise on coverage queries, contracts, and mid-term programme amendments
• Identify growth opportunities and contribute to winning new business
• Apply PI market knowledge to assess exposures and propose client-specific solutions
• Support in presenting to existing and prospective clients and propose innovative solutions
• Build and maintain client and internal relationships across the business

Key requirements

• Professional Indemnity experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for tenders, reports, and meetings
• Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities
• Diligence, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Problem-solving mentality to address last-minute client challenges
• Commitment to high professional standards and continuous improvement
