Planning & Environmental Solicitor

Join a growing national Planning & Environmental team as a Solicitor with 3+ PQE. You will work on complex, high-value planning, environmental, regeneration and compulsory purchase matters for public and private sector clients. You will lead the Statutory Agreement team, manage a varied caseload, and support cross-team collaboration. Responsibilities

• Advise public and private sector clients on planning, environmental, regeneration and compulsory purchase matters (contentious and non-contentious)
• Manage and develop the Statutory Agreement team
• Oversee a varied caseload including Section 278/38 Highways Act, Section 104 Water Industry Act, Deeds of Easement, and Substation Lease Agreements
• Provide support to a busy national Planning team through leadership and coordination
• Develop client relationships and contribute to cross-functional collaboration

Key requirements

• 3+ years PQE in planning and environmental law
• Experience leading and supervising transactional casework
• Experience with statutory and infrastructure agreements, preferably highways agreements
• Strong technical and organisational skills
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines
• Ability to take responsibility for matters and manage files independently
