Overview

In this role you will support the Global Accounting team in the Finance department, focusing on monthly close, regulatory filings, and financial reporting for Wellington’s legal entities across multiple jurisdictions. You will partner with cross-regional teams to ensure accurate internal and external reporting and provide insightful financial analysis. The position emphasizes process improvement, audit support, and efficient financial operations in a collaborative, high-trust culture. Responsibilities

Journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and internal reporting for legal entities across multiple jurisdictions
Analysis of monthly financial results and reporting to management
Preparation of filings and surveys for regulatory agencies
Preparation of financial statements across jurisdictions
External audit support including work papers and auditor inquiries
Identify operational efficiencies and improvements to systems and processes
Ad-hoc analysis and reporting

Key requirements

Newly/recently qualified Chartered Accountant with 3 years of accounting experience
IFRS knowledge; other standards beneficial
Analytical aptitude with strong attention to detail
Strong Excel and system skills; keen interest in technology
Confident communication and collaboration with internal and external counterparties
Motivation, initiative, and team-oriented culture
Strong people skills and ability to build trust across teams and offices
