Principal Professional Services Sales Executive, AWS Professional Services Energy

Overview

In this role you drive business development and customer outcomes for energy-sector engagements using AWS ProServe offerings. You’ll partner with ProServe Cloud Architects, Engagement Managers, and Delivery Consultants to shape IT strategy and cloud-enabled business transformation. You translate technical concepts into business value, build trust with C-level stakeholders, and craft compelling SOWs while guiding projects to deliver defined customer business outcomes. Your impact is measured by revenue, billable bookings, and customer satisfaction, as you scale enterprise cloud initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and high-value engagements with energy customers
• Collaborate with AWS Global Sales to align account strategy
• Create proposals, secure SOW sign-offs, and ensure project delivery
• Monitor projects to deliver agreed customer business outcomes (CBO) and maximize revenue
• Advocate for customers while balancing AWS objectives
• Maintain ongoing customer relationships post-launch to ensure value realization

Key requirements

• 10+ years of quota-bearing professional services sales or strategic account management
• Proven track record selling cloud solutions in the energy sector (cloud adoption, AI/ML, automation, etc.)
• Experience negotiating with C-level executives and managing enterprise deals
• Proven ability to expand influence and drive results

• Strong communication across technical and executive audiences
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving
• Cross-functional collaboration and relationship management
• Knowledge of AWS services
• Experience with CRM systems
• Understanding of cloud adoption, AI/ML, Generative/Agentic AI, modernization and automation, supply chain transformation
