Settlement Agreement Lawyer

Overview

In this role you will provide advisory support on settlement agreements within an established employment team in Essex. You will advise employees on proposed settlements, negotiate terms, and address restrictive covenants to ensure legally effective outcomes. The position offers a choice of part-time or full-time work within a regional practice with a steady stream of instructions. You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues to support growth and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• advise on settlement agreements for employees
• negotiate improvements to financial and non-financial terms
• review and advise on restrictive covenants
• provide ongoing advisory support on settlement matters
• contribute to the firm’s employment law advisory work

Key requirements

• 4+ PQE in advising on settlement agreements
• qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
• experience in all aspects of employment law with a focus on settlement agreements
• based in or willing to work in Essex
• strong track record in settlement agreement advisory
