Responsibilities

• Manage litigated and pre-litigated clinical negligence cases
• Conduct investigations to support repudiation or conclusion of claims
• Coordinate with claimants, clients, solicitors, counsel, experts
• Instruct experts and obtain documents
• Contribute to and lead client-facing and business development initiatives
• Complete MI procedures and adhere to client protocols
• Achieve financial and chargeable targets
• Ensure deadlines and quality measures are met
• Comply with policies and procedures
• Align work with Weightmans' values
• Possible additional duties within wider remit

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 1–10+ years PQE
• Genuine interest in the healthcare sector
• Knowledge of clinical negligence
• Excellent technical ability and CPR knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Disciplined time management and organisational skills
• Rigour in investigating and analysing evidence
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet strict deadlines
