Private Client Lawyer - Torquay or Plymouth

Overview

In this role you will develop and manage a private client practice within a friendly, award-winning firm, handling autonomous client work and fee-earning matters. You will join a supportive team known for expertise in Wills, Estates, Trusts, and related areas, and you will contribute to client service and business development. The role focuses on advising clients and advancing complex private client matters, including vulnerable individuals where advocacy is needed. This is a chance to work across Torquay or Plymouth with strong progression opportunities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Fee-earning work across Wills, Estate Administration, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Inheritance Tax, and Trust Administration
• Engage with clients autonomously and provide high-quality private client advice
• Support and develop client relationships and contribute to business development
• Collaborate with the team to manage a broad private client caseload

Key requirements

• 5+ years' experience as a Private Client Lawyer or equivalent
• Proven experience across a broad range of private client work
• Advocacy experience for vulnerable individuals
• Solid understanding and technical knowledge of private client law
