Wills and Probate Solicitor (Private Client)

Overview

As a Wills & Probate Solicitor you will lead and grow the Private Client offering in a Belfast firm. You will manage a broad private client caseload, shape the department, and work with solid leadership support to develop the function. You’ll deliver estate planning, administration of estates, and sensitive client advisory with a focus on quality care. This is an autonomous role with long-term career progression in a developing practice that values growth and visibility.

Responsibilities

• Drafting wills and providing estate planning advice
• Administration of estates (testate and intestate)
• Enduring Powers of Attorney and controllership applications
• Advising clients on inheritance and succession matters
• Maintaining exceptional client care throughout sensitive matters

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in wills and probate
• Strong technical knowledge across private client work
• STEP membership, or working towards STEP qualification is highly desirable
• Ability to manage matters independently and sensitively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to support departmental growth and visibility
• Interest in building a long-term career within the firm
