Project Manager- Buildings

Overview

In this role you will drive project governance, delivery, and risk management within a multidisciplinary team. You will maintain accurate project records, produce reports for internal and external stakeholders, and ensure work aligns with governance and safety standards. You’ll lead and develop the project team, manage procurement and schedule controls, and support commercial decisions to meet budget and timelines. This position offers impact across safety, performance metrics, and delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project records (progress, daily diaries) and update governance artefacts
• Prepare internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
• Ensure delivery adheres to delegated authority and governance; escalate strategic issues and risks
• Support Health, Safety & Environmental initiatives and investigations
• Lead and develop project team through coaching and performance management
• Manage subcontractors and procurement plans to meet schedules
• Ensure quality handover and certification; monitor KPIs and audits
• Develop, implement and update resource-loaded schedules; enforce change control
• Oversee commercial aspects: budget alignment, cost control, cost recovery opportunities
• Lead and participate in focused improvement and assurance activities
• Hold weekly meetings and implement short-interval controls
