Project Manager

Overview

You will lead highways maintenance projects across Essex, split between Basildon office and on-site deliveries. You own programmes, resources, and site execution, coordinating labour and subcontractors while liaising with public authorities to ensure safe, on-time, and to-specification outcomes. This growing civil engineering contractor offers clear progression toward contracts management and a strong focus on training and development. A hands-on role in a close-knit team delivering high-volume highway work.

Responsibilities

• Manage programmes and site delivery from start to finish
• Coordinate labour and subcontractors
• Plan and order materials
• Liaise with stakeholders including public authorities and framework contacts
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification
• Split time between Basildon office and on-site management

Key requirements

• Project Management experience within civils / highways / infrastructure (or similar)
• Confident managing site teams and taking ownership of live sites
• CSCS / SSSTS (or equivalent)
