As External PR & Communications Manager for IP Power Systems, you shape Cat Industrial Engines and Perkins narratives to strengthen brand reputation globally. You will partner with senior leaders to translate priorities into compelling stories and integrated plans across earned, owned, and digital channels. The role emphasizes proactive media engagement, thought leadership, and content that supports campaigns, product launches, and business priorities. Your work drives industry leadership and broader visibility in key markets, contributing to a sustainable, customer-focused vision.

Responsibilities
Establish trusted trade media relations and serve as liaison between media and internal experts
Counsel internal teams on press materials and events, including planning and execution of media-related events
Develop comprehensive media and content plans aligned to company goals
Guide executives on media relationships and editorial strategy
Oversee selection and management of external vendors (copywriters, videographers, photographers)
Create and maintain a content strategy and calendar supporting marketing plans
Track, analyse and report media results
Monitor media trends and identify opportunities across trade channels
Build relationships with enterprise stakeholders to uncover proactive storytelling aligned with product strategy and reputation
Prepare media materials (pitches, statements, FAQs, briefings, fact sheets, press releases, by-lined articles) and coach executives for interviews
Support marketing tactics to align with business opportunities
Key requirements
Extensive experience in communications, marketing or media relations
Experience with trade media and executive communications
Strong copywriting and editing skills
Knowledge of promotional and marketing communication techniques and channels
Discretion with sensitive information
Relationship management and influencing capabilities
