Head of Foster for South-West London

Overview

In this role you lead a new sub-regional fostering recruitment and retention hub across South-West London to improve how prospective carers are recruited, engaged and approved. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, building cross-borough partnerships and driving transformation using data to inform decisions. You’ll shape a high-performing service that delivers a clear, consistent journey for foster carers and demonstrates measurable improvements. This secondment offers a chance to influence outcomes for children and families at scale.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Foster With South-West London
• Establish and embed a high-performing service offer across participating authorities
• Lead a transformation programme using data to drive decisions
• Oversee a cohesive journey from initial enquiry to approval for foster carers
• Build and maintain partnerships with senior leaders, fostering, communications and marketing teams
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying recruitment bottlenecks and testing innovative approaches
• Coordinate cross-borough collaboration to deliver value for all authorities
