As Technical Director, you drive efficiency and technical excellence within Gateley Built Environment. You lead and develop the team, align technical delivery with business goals, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations. You collaborate with Directors on performance, resource use, and market initiatives to support growth. You will stay current with industry guidance and support training while shaping projects that meet client needs. Responsibilities

• Lead, monitor and manage the team to meet organisational goals and productivity
• Contribute to marketing objectives, targets and initiatives
• Maximise resource use to ensure quality and service standards
• Report monthly on workflow and team performance to Directors
• Identify and handle projects requiring Senior/Line Manager level expertise
• Maintain awareness of latest technical publications, statutory legislation, standards and best practice
• Liaise with HR on recruitment, appraisals and HR matters
• Facilitate and support formal and informal training for the team
• Fulfil responsibilities in line with the technical role (e.g., Chartered Building Surveyor)
• Ensure compliance with administrative, personnel procedures and Health & Safety regulations

Key requirements

• BSc Hons.
• Experience managing a team to meet KPIs and productivity
• Experience in delegating tasks and project management
• Enthusiastic, committed to leading a team to achieve objectives
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Specialist skills and knowledge relevant to the role
• Negotiation, supervisory and leadership skills
