Construction Assurance Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead client-side construction assurance for major infrastructure programmes. You will work closely with project teams to ensure construction methods, QMS and ITPs are followed, delivering on safety, quality and regulatory requirements. You will monitor progress against the programme and act as the on-site client representative, shaping reporting for leadership and regulators. This is an opportunity to drive improvements in construction quality, safety and delivery while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement client-side construction assurance plan
• Verify contractor adherence to approved methodologies, QMS and ITPs
• Ensure safe, compliant delivery meeting design and contract standards
• Monitor progress against the programme and oversee Construction Management Plan
• Act as on-site client representative and produce assurance reports for leadership and regulators
• Capture lessons learned and drive improvements in quality, safety and delivery
• Manage and support safety incidents

Key requirements

• Extensive construction delivery experience on major programmes
• Degree in Engineering, Construction management or related discipline (or equivalent)
• Chartered status (desirable) or equivalent
• HSE and environment qualifications desirable
• Ability to collaborate with project teams including managers, contractors and supply chains
• Commitment to service excellence and high quality standards
• Experience in construction assurance and quality management
• Knowledge of construction methods, risk management and safety requirements
• Ability to produce assurance reports for senior stakeholders
