Security Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead site security operations for Mitie, ensuring robust protection of assets and delivering a consistent security solution across locations. You will manage the service team, drive performance improvements, and collaborate with the client to mitigate risks and add value. You will implement and audit processes, oversee training and shift coverage, and produce timely reports. This position offers the chance to shape security delivery, leverage CCTV and access control systems, and represent Mitie in client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day security service delivery and ensure robust protection of site assets
• Supervise and develop the service team to Lloyds requirements
• Measure performance and implement agreed improvements
• Collaborate with client to understand needs, mitigate risks and drive efficiencies
• Review and implement operational processes with stakeholders; ensure policy adherence
• Conduct monthly process audits and regular tests for compliance
• Ensure officers are trained and shifts are adequately staffed
• Engage in client meetings and timely monthly reporting
• Create and maintain online/shared reports
• Respond to incidents per escalation procedures and support Control Room operations
• Manage Access Control System (passes, alarms, staff access, terminations)
• Produce high-quality written reports and handle administration of keys, body worn cameras, radios
• Act as Mitie ambassador to client; maintain professional service during duties
• Carry out post-visit follow-ups

Key requirements

• SIA frontline and CCTV license essential
• Proven ability to detect dishonesty/criminal activity
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-moving security environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong teamwork while able to work independently
• Proficient in CCTV technology and security systems
• Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to gain/maintain SIA licence and pass 5-year vetting
• Provide I.D. documentation and evidence of all periods in line with vetting criteria
