Forensic Collision Investigator - Complex Injury

Overview

In this role you will support high-value civil claims arising from road traffic collisions by gathering and interpreting evidence, and providing expert liability insights. You will collaborate with Complex Injury lawyers and external parties to build clear, commercially-focused case strategies. The position offers exposure to leading specialists and significant impact on how complex cases are resolved. You will work across internal and external stakeholders to obtain and assess crucial evidence, with a focus on thorough, forensic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Help obtain evidence in civil road traffic collision cases
• Secure witness evidence
• Provide expert analysis of road traffic accidents for liability in civil claims
• Interpret evidence from third-party sources (police collision investigations) and liaise with police, CPS, and coroners
• Conduct site inspections of accident locations
• Collaborate with case handlers and other support colleagues; engage with witnesses, Police, emergency personnel, coroners, recovery agents, the public and insurer clients

Key requirements

• Significant experience as a Collision Investigator, likely with a UK police force, investigating a broad range of road traffic collisions
• Qualifications including UCPD in Forensic Road Collision Investigation or City and Guilds Certificate in Police Forensic Collision Investigation
• Some insight into civil proceedings and interaction between police, criminal investigations, and civil claims
• Empathy and compassion to support clients through challenging circumstances
