As Senior Planner, you will translate multi‑disciplinary inputs into deliverable programmes for fabrication, delivery and erection of structural steel projects. You’ll sit across Estimating, Commercial, Production and Construction to create realistic, resource‑aware schedules and highlight risks early. You’ll drive sequence optimization, tracking progress and communicating priorities to the wider team. This role offers influence across UK and Europe projects in a long‑standing structural steel specialist environment. You’ll shape how projects are delivered by ensuring plans align with real world fabrication and site constraints.

Responsibilities
Develop detailed tender, pre-construction and live project programmes using Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6
Build programmes around fabrication, construction, resources and sequencing requirements
Coordinate information from Estimating, Commercial, Production and Construction to create a single delivery programme
Identify critical paths, dependencies, risks and constraints and address them proactively
Challenge assumptions and collaborate with operations to find practical alternatives
Maintain programmes throughout the project lifecycle and communicate progress and key dates to the team
Key requirements
Significant experience in project planning or programming within construction, structural steelwork or project-led environments
Strong experience with Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6
Proven ability to produce detailed programmes from multi-discipline information
Solid understanding of programme logic, dependencies, critical path analysis and sequencing
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender/project documentation
Experience meeting demanding tender and project deadlines
Confidence to coordinate and challenge information across teams
Structural steel, fabrication or engineering experience advantageous
