In this role, you will lead CDM Principal Designer duties on major UK energy infrastructure projects, championing health, safety and wellbeing across project teams. You will work within the Environment & Energy SH&E Team to share knowledge, guide design-to-construction transitions, and reinforce a mature safety culture. You’ll collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver compliant, value-adding safety and design outcomes. This is a chance to shape safer, more efficient projects at scale with a global infrastructure leader.

Responsibilities
Advocate health, safety and environment as a core value across projects
Lead pre-construction CDM activities and risk mitigation
Ensure effective design-to-construction transition and health and safety file production
Provide CDM advice and guidance to energy projects, staff and clients
Foster collaboration and support within the project team
Implement management systems to promote adherence to procedures and safety culture
Promote SH&E initiatives such as Safety for Life and Life Preserving Principles
Key requirements
Design/engineering degree
Experience in Overhead lines and HV projects
Member of the Association of Project Safety
NEBOSH National or General Certificate (or equivalent)
Experience delivering the Principal Designer role on energy projects
