Payroll Executive (Education Managed Services)

Overview

As a Client Payroll Executive, you will manage a portfolio of payroll clients, overseeing the end-to-end payroll process to ensure accuracy and timeliness. You’ll liaise with customers to collect data, run payrolls, generate reports and payslips, and handle queries while maintaining compliance with HMRC rules. You’ll collaborate across Payroll, Product and Support teams to uphold service levels and deliver outstanding client service within a market-leading organisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients
• Process payroll data via manual input and imports
• Create BACS files and RTI submissions
• Check payroll calculations for accuracy
• Produce payroll reports, payslips, P45s and pension outputs
• Respond to client and third-party queries
• Complete reconciliations and year-end activities
• Support compliance with current HMRC legislation
• Work to agreed service levels and deadlines
• Collaborate with colleagues across Payroll, Product and Support teams

Key requirements

• Proven experience processing payrolls
• Payroll software experience
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Payroll qualifications such as CIPP are desirable but not essential
