Technical Recruiter

Overview

As a Technical Recruiter at iwoca, you will hire for engineering, data science and product teams, shaping hiring decisions with data. You’ll partner with the Tech Talent team within People Operations to own end-to-end recruitment, from discovery to execution. You’ll build outbound sourcing, calibrate what good looks like, and improve processes with AI tools. You’ll balance seniority, market realities and impact, helping iwoca scale its tech platforms to better serve SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Shape role briefs with hiring managers and calibrate trade-offs between seniority and market supply
• Run outbound sourcing across engineering, data science, and product, map the market and design effective outreach
• Calibrate candidate quality in panel debriefs and tune the candidate experience
• Establish scalable workflows and prompts; keep Ashby data accurate for self-serve insights
• Run experiments on hiring methods and tools while delivering against roles
• End-to-end ownership of roles from day one and grow into a domain expert with hiring strategy
• Maintain data-driven feedback loops, track metrics and improve hiring decisions

Key requirements

• Technical hiring experience recruiting software engineers and assessing CVs for seniority and relevance
• Experience running outbound sourcing campaigns and building market maps
• Strong judgement in prioritising candidates, roles, and methods
• Proactive initiative and bias for action
• Clear, direct, concise written and spoken communication
• Technical fluency with tools and systems; ability to learn new tech quickly and use AI critically
• Bonus: analytical mindset; hiring data scientists and product/strategy roles; understanding GDPR and data handling
