Overview

In this Senior Enterprise Architect role, you help shape HMRC’s technology direction within the Enterprise Operations context. You’ll craft strategic roadmaps, guide governance, and ensure architecture aligns with organisational goals across a large IT estate. You’ll influence policy and drive secure, scalable, innovative solutions for colleagues and customers. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the overarching Enterprise Operations Architecture Strategy
Govern reference architectures to steer technology decisions
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align architecture with strategic objectives
Contribute to solution design and maximise value from technology investments
Promote innovation and continuous improvement across a complex IT landscape
Influence policy and shape technical direction for the Enterprise Operations estate
Provide architectural leadership across enterprise platforms supporting operational functions

Key requirements

Senior Enterprise Architect experience in complex IT/digital environments
Enterprise-level perspective with customer focus
Proven ability to apply architecture principles, standards and frameworks
Strong technical foundations with ability to engage senior stakeholders
Experience with governance models and architecture governance
Experience in architecting systems for Enterprise Operation services (workforce, learning, HR, finance)
