In this role you lead a refurbished care home in Aylesbury to deliver safe, person‑centred care and maintain home-like residents’ environments. You will oversee the care team, ensure high quality standards, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll partner with residents, families and professionals to adapt care plans, while ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding. This is a leadership role with a clear impact on resident well‑being and service quality, within a growing, family‑owned provider.
Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of safe, caring, responsive and effective care for residents
Champion choice, dignity and person-centred care for every resident
Review and adapt care plans with residents, families, staff and professionals
Monitor, audit and act on service quality issues
Manage risk assessments and safeguarding to keep residents safe
Recruit, induct, mentor and develop the team; HR leadership on performance and conduct
Ensure effective staffing levels and robust contingency planning
Investigate safeguarding concerns, manage complaints, and ensure regulatory compliance including duty of candour
Key requirements
Right to Work in the UK with at least 12 months remaining
QCF Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
A management qualification (QCF level 4) or willingness to work towards it
Previous registration in a residential service (preferred)
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance, and care home operations
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people-management skills
