FX eTrading Java Developer - VP

Overview

As an Applications Developer in Citi FX Tech, you will directly implement FX trading systems and contribute to architecture design in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You’ll collaborate with trading and quantitative teams to deliver low-latency, robust solutions that support Citi’s leading FX business. You drive quality by adhering to policy and documenting procedures, while promoting best practices across the department. This role offers hands-on coding impact within a high-performance team and a culture that values innovation and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on implementation of FX trading systems
• Collaborate with FX Trading Technology teams to deliver business-benefiting solutions
• Drive system architecture design and engage with end-users for requirements
• Maintain documentation and procedures for filings and compliance
• Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes
• Work directly with trading and quant teams to align technology with business needs

Key requirements

• Proven understanding of FX (highly preferred)
• Understanding of ultra low-latency development practices
• Experience building new systems and replacing legacy ones
• Knowledge of systems (software, hardware, networks) to define solutions and troubleshoot
• Exceptional communicator able to engage at all levels
• Hands-on engineer capable of deep-diving into codebases and providing actionable feedback
• Awareness of industry trends and new technologies
