Senior Security Operations Centre Analyst

Overview

You join Sopra Steria’s cyber security team to defend critical infrastructure by detecting and responding to real-world threats. In this frontline role, you shape SOC capabilities, investigate incidents, and influence threat detection strategies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work on high-impact security events for UK clients and contribute to a mature, high-performing SOC. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow expertise while protecting systems that matter.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage and investigate security incidents across critical client environments
• Analyse network traffic, logs and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities
• Lead and support incident response activities, guiding containment, eradication and recovery
• Enhance detection rules and use cases using MITRE ATT&CK and threat-informed defence techniques
• Support threat intelligence activities and contribute to continuous improvement of SOC operations

Key requirements

• Proven experience working within a Security Operations Centre
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk
• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK
• Clearance eligibility for SC and DV
