Paraplanning Manager

Overview

In this role you lead and develop a paraplanning team within a large UK wealth management business. You’ll coach, mentor and optimise performance, ensuring advisers receive consistently high-quality work on time. You’ll challenge old ways, streamline processes and tackle problems to raise standards. The position combines people leadership with ownership of workflow and SLAs, at a Midlands head office with hybrid working. It offers broader responsibility, influence and a path to building a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a paraplanning team to deliver high-quality research and report-writing for advisers
• Coach and develop staff, addressing performance and capacity issues
• Improve processes and challenge existing methods to raise standards
• Oversee workflow, SLAs and quality to ensure consistent delivery for advisers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a large wealth management firm
• Handle problems and optimise the advice process within an IFA environment

Key requirements

• Understanding of financial planning and research/report-writing within an IFA environment
• Diploma-qualified in financial planning
• Experience in managing, coaching or developing people
• Ability to manage workload and improve operating standards
• Strong stakeholder management within a multi-adviser/advisor context
