Presales Solution Architect

Overview

As a Solutions Architect in Verizon’s Presales Engineering (EMEA), you’ll design and position complex, scalable technology solutions for enterprise customers, translating business needs into verizon-enabled architectures. You work closely with sales and cross-functional teams to qualify opportunities, build proof-of-concept work, and drive digital transformation. You’ll travel to client sites and events, representing Verizon as a trusted adviser and industry thought leader. This role offers exposure to global brands and high-impact, multi-domain projects that shape customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities and craft strategies that leverage technology to achieve objectives
• Recommend integration architectures, platforms, and infrastructure for complete solutions using best practices
• Own technical relationships with customers, coordinate briefings and resources, and deliver proof-of-concept work
• Collaborate with customers to create solutions and use cases leveraging the Verizon portfolio
• Position Verizon Business as a thought leader on key technological developments
• Continuously expand technical knowledge to deliver high-quality services and solutions
• Travel to client sites, conferences, and events as required

Key requirements

• Experience as pre-sales solution architect for a managed services provider with multinational customers
• Direct interaction with customer stakeholders during sales processes
• Experience architecting and developing network and cybersecurity solutions for large enterprises
• Knowledge of software defined networking, routing, VPNs, and firewalls
• Knowledge of data and information security within business contexts
• Experience in two or more areas: SDN, IT infrastructure and security, cloud or network management, or business continuity
• Willingness to travel 25–50%
• Valid UK Driver's License
