Responsibilities

• Provide radiation protection guidance across projects to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices
• Support design and operations teams in nuclear programmes across the UK
• Prepare and coordinate radiation protection documentation (risk assessments, zoning, ALARP, compliance reports)
• Lead radiation protection activities on projects and mentor junior staff
• Participate in hazard identification studies and drive continuous improvement of protection processes

Key requirements

• Experience in a radiation protection role
• Strong knowledge of radiation protection legislation, standards and best practice
• Experience supporting nuclear, defence, or highly regulated sectors
• Knowledge of site licence compliance arrangements
• Understanding of ONR Safety Assessment Principles and their practical application
