In this role you support the Financial and Actuarial Team within a specialist UK life insurer. You’ll blend technical actuarial work with commercial input, collaborating with Finance, Origination, Risk and Investment to inform senior decision-makers. You’ll help prepare forecasts and business plans, monitor solvency, and respond to ad-hoc stakeholder queries. There is also scope to assist with stress and scenario testing across the balance sheet, shaping commercial judgement as you grow technically.
Responsibilities
Liaise with Finance, Origination, Risk and Investment to provide insight and analysis
Support preparation of regular forecasts and business plans
Assist solvency monitoring and balance sheet projections
Respond to ad-hoc queries from senior stakeholders and shareholders
Contribute to stress and scenario testing across the balance sheet
Key requirements
NNQ Life or Pensions Actuary
Good technical knowledge of financial reporting
Commercially minded with ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders
Previous experience in a similar position would be highly desirable
