As a Rehabilitation Consultant Physician you will lead complex rehabilitation across the NUH system, working across sites and with multi-disciplinary teams. You will contribute to the expansion of rehabilitation services and help establish national leadership in rehab medicine through the new National Rehabilitation Centre and related initiatives. You will shape patient care pathways for complex neurodisability and musculoskeletal cases, aligning with research and education aims. This is a unique opportunity to influence clinical practice, service development and national standards in rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
Oversee complex rehabilitation across Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
Work across multiple sites and the National Rehabilitation Centre in Loughborough
Provide leadership within the rehabilitation service and multi-disciplinary teams
Contribute to service development and delivery of care pathways for complex cases
Engage with research, audit and education activities
Deliver high-quality rehabilitation care aligned with national standards
Key requirements
Extensive experience in Rehabilitation Medicine
Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise
MBBS and MRCP
Comprehensive knowledge of internal medicine; experience with major trauma and neurosurgery contexts
Proven leadership and team-management能力
Experience in clinical audit
Teaching and support of junior staff
Desirable higher degree or equivalent in teaching/research
