As Director of Inclusion & SENDco at Djanogly City Academy, you will provide strategic leadership to create an inclusive culture that enables all learners, including those with SEND, to excel. You will drive whole-school improvement in inclusive practice, oversee SEND processes, and collaborate with families, external agencies, and the Trust to remove barriers to learning. You will empower staff through coaching, QA, and professional development to deliver outstanding inclusive teaching. Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction for inclusion and SEND across the academy
Oversee statutory SEND processes and high-quality provision
Lead whole-school improvement initiatives for inclusive practice
Collaborate with families, external agencies, and Trust colleagues
Coach and develop staff to deliver outstanding inclusive teaching and support
Utilise data and evidence to identify priorities and measure impact
Champion the needs of all learners and drive high standards across the school
Key requirements
Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice
Proven ability to lead school improvement and effect change
Excellent communication and relationship-building with staff, families, governors, and agencies
Analytical and solution-focused with data-driven decision-making
Organised and able to work effectively within a senior leadership team
