Head of Management Accounting

Overview

In this role you shape financial performance as Head of Management Accounting in Leeds. You will lead the Management Accounting team, ensure accurate budgets and forecasts, and translate data into actionable insight for cross-functional partners. You will drive reporting improvements and partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Innovation to support sustainable performance. This is a senior, impact-driven finance leadership position in a renowned FMCG business with a hybrid office model.

Responsibilities

• Shape insight to strengthen decisions and drive financial performance
• Lead the Management Accounting team and enhance reporting, systems, and processes
• Ensure management accounts, budgets, and latest estimates are accurate and timely
• Turn complex data into meaningful commercial insight
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Innovation & Development to support decisions and sustainable performance

Key requirements

• Strong management accounting experience (at least 3 years post qualified)
• Commercial experience with a track record of creating high-quality accounts, budgets, forecasts and analysis
• People leadership experience with developing a team of Management Accountants
• Excellent analytical skills, numeracy and IT capability; experience with integrated systems advantageous
• Clear, influential communication with ability to challenge and influence stakeholders
• Team-oriented, resilient, curious, detail-conscious and decisive; seeks impact in a senior FMCG finance role
