Overview

In this role you drive the FP&A function for the SSEN Distribution business, delivering consolidated plans, forecasts and performance insights. You will shape planning processes to suit a growing, complex organisation and partner with senior stakeholders to enable timely, informed decisions. You’ll lead robust scenario analysis, coordinate regulatory and financial planning, and build a high‑performing FP&A team. Responsibilities

Lead annual planning and budgeting, plus rolling forecast and reforecasting aligned to strategy and regulatory needs
Own monthly management information pack with commentary for performance, risks and opportunities; support board reporting
Provide insights and scenario analysis to enable decision-making and identify improvements
Manage capex and opex forecasting feeding into 10-year plan, regulatory returns, and commercial sensitivities
Set governance, timetables, and process standards for planning and reporting
Lead and develop FP&A professionals; ensure cross-functional alignment with Finance teams

Key requirements

Fully qualified accounting certification with substantial FP&A management experience
Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources (market and regulatory) into actionable insights
Strong background in project-driven business with contract management and financial planning
Effective communication of financial performance to senior stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
