Overview

In this role you will drive commercial success for the St John and St Elizabeth Hospital by managing relationships with key referrers and promoting services across GP, consultant, and allied health networks. You will align marketing and business development activities with the hospital’s strategic direction, supporting inductions, project work, and engagement events. You will analyse market and financial data to influence activity and referral growth, while expanding awareness among local businesses. This is a chance to shape growth for a leading private, charity hospital with a strong community impact. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to turn insights into profitable leads.

Responsibilities

Manage relationships with consultants and allocate resources by priority
Maximise consultant time utilisation and overall capacity
Contribute to new consultant inductions and practice setup
Lead specialty-specific projects to develop best-practice services
Collaborate with consultant leads to run purposeful specialty meetings aligned with strategy
Create events to engage GPs and Consultants
Gather market intelligence to inform new initiatives
Provide feedback on services to the team
Promote GP educational programme and related events
Analyse financial and activity data to drive business decisions
Leverage local business knowledge to raise awareness and generate referrals for self-pay and PMI opportunities

Key requirements

Educated to degree level (or equivalent BD experience)
At least 1 year of business development and/or sales experience
Ability to work independently and decide when to seek guidance, delivering to deadlines
Working knowledge of Independent Hospitals
Independent hospital sector experience
Proven track record of managing projects collaboratively and under pressure
