In this key commercial finance role you partner with Commercial teams to provide financial insight, challenge and analysis that supports profitable growth. You will collaborate with Category Directors to understand performance, identify opportunities and risks, and translate data into actionable commercial recommendations. You’ll support budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting while shaping the commercial agenda with data-driven insight. This role sits at the intersection of finance and commercial decision-making in a fast-growing retail environment.

Responsibilities
Act as a business partner to commercial and supply chain functions, embedding finance into day-to-day decision making
Challenge non-finance stakeholders to drive accurate end results and profitability
Provide financial insight to support trading performance, pricing decisions, promotions and margin improvement
Drive continuous improvement in commercial finance processes and analyses
Produce robust analysis of weekly trading performance, identify trends, explain variances and recommend actions
Support annual budget-setting for commercial margin
Build reporting tools to enhance understanding of performance and speed up decision making
Collaborate with Finance to ensure consistent reporting, planning and governance
Support strategic commercial decisions with robust financial analysis and recommendations
Develop financial models and business cases for commercial initiatives and evaluate post-investment performance
Key requirements
Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong commercial acumen
Ability to challenge stakeholders and deliver clear end-results
Strong Excel and Google Workspace skills; experience with financial reporting and planning systems
Resilience and adaptability in a changing environment
Ability to analyse complex data and turn it into clear, actionable insight
