Overview

In this role you lead strategy, delivery, resilience and modernization of the technology estate for Global Markets Operations and selected Corporate Banking Operations. You will act as the senior technology partner to Operations and business leadership, owning service stability, regulatory delivery, technology risk and platform strategy. You will drive AI-enabled engineering to improve delivery effectiveness and operational resilience, shaping transformation at a global scale. Responsibilities

Act as trusted technology advisor to senior Global Markets Operations and Corporate Banking stakeholders
Provide technology leadership across post-trade operations including settlement, collateral, liquidity management, reconciliations, reporting, and asset servicing
Translate business strategy and regulatory obligations into clear technology investment and execution plans
Build relationships across business, operations and technology to influence senior outcomes
Define and execute multi-year technology strategy for Global Markets Operations and related platforms
Drive modernization, reduce technical debt, and simplify a diverse estate of vendor and in-house platforms
Own service availability, resilience, performance, and operational controls across the technology estate
Lead major incident response, root-cause analysis and remediation
Deliver regulatory, strategic, risk and business change programs with clear governance
Ensure robust regulatory reporting, data governance and control evidence
Manage budgets, vendor relationships and investment priorities
Lead and develop a high-performing, globally distributed technology organisation
Accelerate AI-assisted engineering and agentic delivery with governance and risk controls
Define operating models, governance and training to scale AI-enabled delivery
Deliver measurable productivity, quality and time-to-market improvements

Key requirements

Extensive senior technology leadership experience in a global financial institution
Deep expertise in Global Markets Operations and post-trade technology
Strong understanding of securities settlement, collateral management, liquidity and reconciliations
Proven ability to partner with senior business, operations and technology executives
Experience leading complex technology estates with vendor platforms and integrated solutions
Track record delivering regulatory, transformation and risk reduction programmes
Strong engineering leadership across architecture, software delivery and platform modernisation
Experience leading globally distributed teams
Commercial acumen with budget responsibility and vendor oversight
Understanding of AI-enabled engineering practices in regulated environments
Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication
