Alpha Client Implementation Manager, Vice President

Overview

In this role you will lead client-facing Alpha implementation programmes, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver complex front-to-back technology and services projects. You’ll drive governance, risk management and timely delivery, shaping target operating models and ongoing improvements. This position sits at the heart of State Street Alpha, enabling clients to achieve better investment outcomes through integrated data, technology and services. You will work with senior stakeholders to ensure practical, scalable solutions that meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing Alpha implementation programmes and oversee significant phases
• Plan, monitor progress, resolve issues and initiate corrective actions with relevant teams
• Support Client Implementation Executive to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Alpha, CRD, SSCD, Operations, Product, Technology, Data, Testing and external stakeholders
• Drive Target Operating Model discussions for front/middle/back office processes
• Champion continuous improvement, automation and AI-driven initiatives to enhance delivery and client experience
• Manage programme governance (steering committees, risk forums, updates)
• Make recommendations to Client Implementation Executive and Client to ensure successful delivery of programme plan
• Monitor expenditure vs benefits and provide insight on project scope and state
• Capture business requirements and define fit-for-purpose solutions
• Manage risk and change control to protect programme outcomes
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery within governance
• Manage dependencies and interfaces across initiatives in milestone plan
• Report progress to Client Implementation Executive, internal and external steering bodies
• Support contractual discussions, migration planning and transition schedules
• Assess delivery risks from contractual commitments and engage stakeholders to mitigate impacts

Key requirements

• Experienced project/program management of full lifecycle complex technology projects
• Ability to lead across multiple business lines and corporate functions
• Strong stakeholder management and communication to executive level
• Experience in large, multi-location projects and governance structures
• Financial services background preferred
• Degree qualification or relevant experience preferred (not explicitly required)
• Microsoft Office suite experience
