Senior Program Manager- Pharmaceuticals

Overview

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of high-value pharma projects, coordinating timelines, budgets, and quality between customers and site teams. You’ll work across functions such as Business Development, R&D, Operations, Quality and Finance to drive projects from kick-off to completion. You’ll maintain clear project documentation, anticipate scope changes, and contribute to improvements in how the PM function operates. This is a senior, autonomous position with exposure to international sites and major clients, offering meaningful impact in a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client projects with focus on scope, timelines, budgets, and milestones
• Serve as primary client contact, keeping stakeholders informed and confident
• Create and maintain organized project documentation and risk logs
• Identify and address scope changes and issues early, collaborating with clients
• Monitor project finances and contribute to revenue reporting
• Coach and development lesser-experienced team members
• Help shape improved ways of working across the wider project management function

Key requirements

• Solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Proven track record managing client relationships in a PM capacity
• Experience in contract manufacturing or a CRO environment
• Confidence leading cross-functional teams and obtaining stakeholder buy-in
• Good grasp of GMP and regulatory landscape
• Relevant science-based degree
• Formal project management training or certification is advantageous
• Proficient with standard project management and office software
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
