Salaried GP

Overview

In this Salaried GP role you will provide autonomous medical care to a growing patient population within a modern, supportive practice. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to high-quality, evidence-based care while adhering to GMC standards and the GMS contract. The role offers learning time, clinical governance, and opportunities to train medical students, with a focus on continuous improvement and professional development. Responsibilities

• Deliver effective medical care to the practice population
• Provide services in line with the GMS contract
• Prescribe generics following guidance
• Manage long-term conditions
• Process administration (referrals, lab reports, workflow documents, prescriptions)
• Attend surgery, video, and telephone consultations; cover urgent care and home visits
• Maintain accurate clinical records per policy
• Collaborate with the team and share workload
• Contribute to quality initiatives and clinical governance
• Attend practice meetings and support training of students
• Support appraisal, revalidation, and CPD
• Assist in financial management and HR related to the practice
• Promote continuous improvement and adhere to protocols

Key requirements

• Qualified GP
• Full GMC Registration
• National Performers List registration
• Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
• MRCGP (desirable)
• GMS contract understanding (desirable)

• EMIS user skills (desirable)
