Site Manager

Overview

In this role you will oversee busy social housing retrofit and planned maintenance sites, coordinating multiple projects to hit programme targets. You will work with residents and project teams to maintain safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while managing subcontractors and direct labour. You’ll report progress to senior management and ensure documentation and budgets stay on track. This position offers frontline impact on retrofit delivery and resident outcomes within a fast-paced programme.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple planned maintenance and retrofit projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and material deliveries to meet programme targets
• Monitor health and safety compliance and maintain high site standards
• Carry out quality inspections ensuring works align with specifications and client requirements
• Collaborate with Resident Liaison Officers to minimise disruption and maintain customer satisfaction
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management
• Ensure productivity, programme delivery and budget objectives are met
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation

Key requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager (essential)
• Experience delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment or retrofit projects
• Social housing experience would be highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Confident in managing subcontractors and driving performance on site
• Strong communication skills for relations with residents, clients and project teams
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites across the region
