Senior Major Account Executive, Carrier

Overview

In this role, you drive strategic growth by selling Akamai solutions to customers in the Carrier sector across the EMEA region. You will manage the full customer lifecycle, from lead generation and new business to renewals, with cross-functional teams ensuring successful outcomes. You’ll position value-based solutions to meet each customer’s goals, cultivate executive relationships, and protect and grow revenue. Responsibilities

• Foster long-term relationships by positioning Akamai solutions to meet customer needs
• Maintain and forecast sales pipeline (monthly and quarterly)
• Manage contract renewals and minimize churn
• Prospect and acquire new customers within the Carrier segment
• Upsell and cross-sell the Akamai portfolio to existing install bases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to demonstrate value of Akamai services to customers

Key requirements

• Relevant sales experience with Carrier organisations
• Experience selling enterprise-class software/SaaS to large telecommunications companies
• Account management experience with short- and long-term planning; ability to sell value at C-level
• Strong understanding of technology, the Internet, cyber security, cloud, and CDN concepts
• Proven track record of building executive-level relationships with high-level customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
