Senior Buyer

Overview

In this Senior Buyer role, you will lead sourcing and purchasing activities for a trusted UK hardware accessories brand. You will optimise procurement processes, negotiate with suppliers, and manage contracts to support up to £5m spend. You’ll build strong supplier relationships across the Far East and India, ensuring reliable imports and bespoke product capabilities. You will work closely with UK manufacturers and cross‑functional teams to drive effective supply chain solutions and product innovation.

Responsibilities

• source and purchase products and services to meet business needs
• negotiate terms with suppliers and manage contracts
• develop and maintain strong relationships with Far East and India suppliers
• oversee import activities and ensure compliant, timely deliveries
• collaborate with UK manufacturers and internal teams to support value and quality
• identify opportunities for sourcing new and bespoke products
• manage spend governance and supplier performance up to £5m

Key requirements

• strong sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing experience
• deep understanding of supply chain dynamics
• significant import experience, especially with India
• experience setting up supplier contracts
• proven track record with UK manufacturers
• exposure to managing spend up to £5m
• ability to work with Indian suppliers and navigate cultural nuances
• UK-based and eligible to work (no sponsorship)
