Internal Audit Manager B

Overview

In this role you manage and deliver audit reports and assurance reviews to strengthen internal controls. You work closely with the Senior Audit Manager and Director of Risk and Internal Audit to provide independent assurance to the Board and Audit Committee, supporting improved operations and control environments. You will drive continuous improvement by simplifying tasks and processes. You will engage with stakeholders across the business to identify risks, deliver audits, and champion a customer-focused approach. Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver audits and project assurance, ensuring quality and adherence to audit methodology
• Provide expert input to improve risk management, business processes and controls
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to understand business context
• Support departments in managing operational risk registers
• Drive actions from audits to ensure timely delivery and impact
• Consult with senior management to simplify processes and accelerate delivery
• Promote continuous improvement and simplification of controls and processes
• Encourage cross-functional collaboration to respond to risks and opportunities

Key requirements

• Relevant professional qualifications (CIA / ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of audit, risk and control and application of audit methodology
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver in a complex, fast-paced environment
• Good analytical thinking and advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and written communication
• Resilience and adaptability in changing environments
• Experience in prioritising and meeting deadlines
• Desirable: ability to conduct data analytics using IDEA or similar tools
