Overview

As Quality Manager, you will lead and maintain a robust quality management system to ensure projects and suppliers meet high standards. You will work with senior stakeholders and suppliers to clarify and achieve quality expectations, driving audits and ISO 9001-based improvements. You will help sustain trust, compliance, and continual improvement across Heathrow’s capital delivery. This role offers impact on safety culture, governance, and supplier performance within a multi-billion pound program portfolio.

Responsibilities

Lead supplier audits and quality assessments to ensure ISO 9001 alignment and Heathrow quality standards.
Develop and maintain the Heathrow quality management framework to drive consistent supplier performance.
Evaluate supplier quality systems and provide feedback to foster improvement and accountability.
Support tender evaluations and contract reviews to embed quality requirements and KPIs from the outset.
Engage with senior stakeholders to communicate findings, influence decisions, and promote a culture of quality across the supply chain.
Identify opportunities to strengthen processes and clarify quality responsibilities across contracts and teams.

Key requirements

Qualified Lead Auditor with practical ISO 9001 experience
Report writing and presentation skills for influencing at all levels
Strong understanding of supplier quality management and contract compliance
Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and handle challenging conversations constructively
Experience developing or maintaining quality management systems in large/regulated environments
Analytical mindset to identify risks and recommend practical solutions
