In this role you will design and develop scalable web applications to support Watchfinder’s global growth. You will collaborate with engineering and design teams to implement features and ensure high-quality, secure software. You will apply modern back-end and cloud practices to deliver robust solutions that scale, while maintaining code integrity and meeting deadlines. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape the technology that underpins a premium retail experience.

Responsibilities
Design overall architecture of web applications and develop robust, scalable, and secure software solutions
Maintain code quality, performance, and organisation across the product
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to implement new features
Implement security and data protection measures for applications
Develop server-side logic and integrate with front-end components
Utilize AWS cloud solutions and cloud messaging/ push notifications
Use Git and Visual Studio Team Services for version control
Apply Agile methodologies (Kanban) to manage and deliver projects
Key requirements
Proven experience with SOLID principles and design patterns
Proven experience with technologies: Angular, JavaScript, Typescript, SCSS, HTML5, Unit Testing, TDD, Web Pack, C#, MVC, Python, REST web services, SQL/T-SQL
Knowledge of IaC tools: AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform
Knowledge of security best practices
Strong communication and stakeholder management
Ability to manage complex solutions and work under tight deadlines
