Overview

As a C# Developer / Technical Lead, you will steer a squad in architecture, delivery, and production operations while remaining hands-on in coding. You’ll own system design, API decisions, and code quality, collaborating with Product Managers on roadmaps. You’ll mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement, and champion AI-assisted development tools across the lifecycle. This role combines technical ownership with leadership to grow the team and deliver a modern payments platform.

Responsibilities

Lead the squad across architecture, development, delivery and production operations while coding hands-on.
Own system architecture, API design, and key technical decisions; conduct design reviews and ensure code quality.
Partner with Product Managers on roadmaps, delivery plans and priorities.
Mentor engineers through 1-2-1s, feedback, and continuous improvement; set engineering standards.
Drive adoption of AI and agentic coding tools across the SDLC; implement modern techniques and process improvements.
Lead from the front with technical ownership and responsibility for team growth and delivery.

Key requirements

Strong backend development skills with C# .Net (or other OO languages)
Strong system design experience, especially for distributed systems and microservices
Frontend experience with Vue.js, React or modern Angular
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Production AWS experience (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda)
Experience owning CI/CD and release processes (GitHub Actions)
Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar AI tools
Collaborative and pragmatic communication; ability to explain technical decisions to engineers and business stakeholders
Payments, FX or regulated industry background advantageous
