QC Technical Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead QC technical projects and a team in a GMP-regulated lab. You will manage laboratory systems (LIMS/CDS), drive equipment lifecycle plans, and oversee validation and compliance programs. You’ll act as the technical lead for initiatives like new product introductions, method transfers, and system upgrades, collaborating with IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams. You will champion data integrity and continuous improvement to support audits and regulatory responses.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of QC Technical Specialists with strong performance and resource planning
• Manage laboratory equipment and electronic systems ensuring GMP and Data Integrity compliance
• Deliver technical projects involving equipment procurement, qualification, validation, and implementation
• Maintain long-term equipment replacement strategy for future needs
• Lead NPI, method transfer, and compliance-related activities
• Oversee change controls, deviations, and validation activities for systems and equipment
• Collaborate with IT, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders for system effectiveness and compliance
• Drive continuous improvement across QC operations and technology platforms
• Support audits, inspections, regulatory submissions, and responses to technical inquiries
• Champion data integrity and best practices across the laboratory environment

Key requirements

• Degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent industry experience
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical QC equipment, laboratory systems, qualification, and validation activities
• Experience managing QC equipment and electronic systems in a regulated environment
• Experience with LIMS and CDS
• Thorough understanding of GMP regulations and Data Integrity principles
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and deliver results to agreed timelines
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to analyse complex technical information and communicate it clearly
