Head of People and Culture

Overview

In this Head of People & Culture role, you will own and shape the people strategy for a growth-focused consumer brand. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the organisation has the right culture, capabilities, and structures to scale. You’ll blend strategic thinking with hands-on delivery across employee experience, ER, recruitment, learning, and engagement. This is a high-impact role with a clear opportunity to drive culture and people initiatives that underpin ambitious growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall People & Culture strategy and execution
• Advise senior leaders on organisational and people matters
• Oversee employee relations, policies and HR processes
• Direct recruitment and employer branding efforts
• Develop and strengthen talent acquisition capability
• Design and embed learning, development and performance frameworks
• Build succession planning and career development programs
• Drive employee engagement, culture, and retention initiatives
• Leverage people data to inform decision-making
• Manage benefits, employee experience and internal events

Key requirements

• Significant experience leading a broad HR or People function
• Strong expertise in ER, Talent Acquisition, L&D and organisational culture
• Experience implementing people frameworks, performance processes and development programmes
• Previous leadership experience within a People team
• Ability to operate strategically and hands-on in an entrepreneurial environment
• Experience in consumer/retail/lifestyle/e-commerce or purpose-led organisations
• Strong stakeholder management with credibility to influence senior leaders
