HR Business Partner

Overview

In this HR Business Partner role, you will shape strategic people initiatives and provide expert employee relations support within a values-led charity. You will partner with senior leaders to develop HR strategy, manage complex casework, and drive culture and capability across a dispersed workforce. You will line-manage the HR team and coach managers to deliver high-quality people outcomes. The role offers meaningful impact, working closely with leadership to enable organizational growth and social purpose. Hybrid-based in Norwich or Ipswich, with a collaborative, professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve complex employee relations cases with guidance to managers
• Support senior leadership with HR strategy development and implementation
• Line manage the HR Advisor and HR Administrator
• Deliver coaching and development support to managers
• Contribute to HR policies and procedures aligned with values and best practice
• Support and implement organisational change initiatives
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure statutory compliance
• Assist in talent management and recruitment activities as needed

Key requirements

• Proven experience in a senior HR role within complex environments
• CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent
• Strong capability in managing complex employee relations casework
• Ability to advise and influence senior management with credibility and gravitas
• Resilience and professionalism when dealing with sensitive issues
• Excellent communication and coaching skills
• Experience managing or leading HR teams or projects
