Senior Project Manager, Platform Innovation - Asset Management

Overview

In this role you will lead strategic business transformation within Northern Trust Asset Management, driving AI-enabled programmes from concept to delivery. You will work across Investments, Product, Technology and Risk to design future operating models, implement digital and data solutions, and ensure regulatory alignment. You’ll manage multi-workstream initiatives, build business cases, and report progress to executives. Responsibilities

• Lead strategic business transformation and AI-enabled initiatives to drive growth, efficiency and resilience
• Manage cross-functional programmes from initiation to implementation with clear objectives and governance
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define scope, roadmaps, milestones and dependencies
• Assess operating models and processes to support evolving regulatory needs
• Work with business, technology and data teams to design future-state operating models and digital solutions
• Develop compelling business cases for strategic decisions and prioritisation
• Oversee delivery across multiple workstreams with risk and issue management
• Prepare executive-level reporting and governance materials
• Ensure programmes meet regulatory and industry requirements with Compliance and Risk
• Communicate strategy and progress to business and technical stakeholders
• Lead Change Management, Architecture and Governance forums and foster cross-border collaboration
• Build strong relationships with global stakeholders to deliver priorities efficiently

Key requirements

• 10+ years' experience in the investment management industry with a track record delivering strategic change
• Strong programme and project management expertise
• Deep understanding of front-, middle-, and back-office operating models
• Knowledge of investment products, asset classes, fund structures and operational processes
• Experience with transformation, operating model redesign and process improvement
• Strong business analysis skills including process mapping and target operating model development
• Knowledge of investment management technology platforms, data environments and cloud-based solutions
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication
• Experience managing third-party vendors and strategic partners
• Strategic, consultative mindset with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• AI-forward mindset and ability to leverage emerging technologies
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification
