In this role you will lead Health & Safety across a high-risk manufacturing site in Aston, Birmingham, reporting to the Plant Director. You will drive a robust safety culture and ensure compliance while mentoring a developing advisor and coordinating with European and US leadership. You’ll handle environmental duties, emergency planning, CAPEX-related safety matters, and fire risk strategies in a fast-paced, matrix environment. Responsibilities
Lead site-wide HSE compliance and safety culture improvements across a high-risk manufacturing site
Mentor and develop an early-career health and safety advisor
Manage environmental requirements, emergency management, and fire risk strategies
Oversee CAPEX-related safety considerations and risk controls
Collaborate with European HSE Manager and US parent company; report to Plant Director
Key requirements
Experience leading HSE in industrial manufacturing
Proven leadership capabilities and ability to challenge behaviours under pressure
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Able to implement safety programs and drive cultural change
